The Cement Mortar Lining or CML is a coating process on inside surface of pipe that allows the rehabilitation of metal pipes (steel and cast iron) eliminating the rust internal and internally preserving the tube from future phenomena corrosive thanks to the realization of a coating in cement mortar of controlled thickness on the surface inside of the pipe to be rehabilitated.
How CML Lining apply on Pipe inside
surface?
Internal surface cleaned pipe put on pipe rotator where fresh cement mortar (Mixture of Cement, Sand and Water) is filled inside the pipe after that both ends of pipe at cut back length rubber rings attached so cement mortar mixture did not come out at application time then pipe rotated at high speed due to high pipe rotation speed cement mortar mixture are centrifugally equally distribute and compressed inside the pipe surface then pipe are stored at yard for curing, the curing is generally carried out by closing both ends of pipe with polyethylene sheet till specification defined days.
Which specification are followed?
Cement Mortar Lining is done on inside surface of pipe, and is commonly used for water distribution. Coating done as per IS3589, IS-1916-1989, AWWA-C-205 & C 602 or as per Customspecified mix.
Which pipe are coated with CML Lining?
The mix is centrifugally applied to straight pipe 20 through 64 inch in diameter and from 6 to 12.2 meter in length using our custom designed state of the art equipment.

Benefit of CML Lining
A mixture of cement mortar is typically used as protective interior lining of steel pipe. Applied centrifugally, cement mortar lining provides a smooth dense finish that protects the steel pipe from tuberculation and also affords a measure of corrosion resistance. Additionally, the smooth interior surface of cement mortar lining provides a high flow coefficient, which is generally maintained for a long period of time.
Cement mortar-lined steel water pipe is durable, easily handled in the field, and can be repaired with minimal difficulty.
